What is a Recognizance or Unsecured Bond?

  • A Recognizance Bond allows a defendant to be released from jail without posting bail or putting up a cash deposit. The defendant is required to appear at the scheduled court hearing date.
  • An Unsecured Bond is allows a defendant to be released from jail by the Judge setting an amount for bail but, no bail money is required upfront. The defendant is required to appear at the scheduled court hearing date.

What is a Cash Bond?

  • A cash bond means you must post the full amount of the bond with the Pagedale Consolidated Municipal Court or at an authorized police station.
  • You cannot use a bonding company.
  • Forms of payment allowed: Cash, Debit or Credit Card

Where/How to post Municipal Court Bonds for Pagedale, Greendale, Flordell Hills and Velda City?

  • Post bonds at Pagedale Consolidated Municipal Court Violations Bureau during business hours 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday only.
  • The Court window is closed weekends and holidays.
  • Bonds may then be posted with an authorized police department.
  • When a cash bond is posted with a police department or you're released on your own recognizance; after hours, over a weekend or holiday, email your bond receipt information to the Court at Pagedalecourt@cityofpagedale.org
  • Or you may also walk your bond information in to the Court window during normal business hours.
