REQUEST FOR A RECOMMENDATION PROCEDURES:

Attorney Entries and  any motion or pleading filed by defense counsel must be filed through Case.net with the court and a copy of same sent to the municipal prosecutor’s office by regular mail, facsimile or email to the prosecutor clerk. 

A Request for Recommendation can ONLY be submitted by the defense attorney, to the prosecutor’s office. Request for Recommendation(s) are filed solely with the prosecuting attorney. Request for Recommendation(s) must also be accompanied by a copy of counsel’s entry of appearance and a self-addressed stamped envelope, if mailing, the request.To pay a Request for Recommendation in full, please e-file your client's payment via Case.Net, send a copy of the recommendation signed by counsel and defendant, along with a cashier’s check or money order made payable to the Municipal Court where the citation was written to the above-referenced address, Attn: Municipal Division. Request for payment arrangements must be presented to the Judge, by the defendant and/or attorney. A request will most likely be granted. If an arrangement is agreed to, a signed confirmation is required of the requestor.

If the recommendation is amended, a revised recommendation will be sent to defense counsel by fax, email or mail.  Attorney’s may wish to plea by mail in accordance with RULE 37, if a plea is required.

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION AND DISCOVERY:

Discovery including, but not limited to, videos and accident/police reports must still be requested by mail or in person and all motions requesting same must be filed with the court and sent to the office of the prosecuting attorney. Request by mail should be accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope and/or unmarked DVD. There is no charge for discovery.

ATTORNEY CALL:

Attorneys may request to speak with the prosecuting attorney prior to the beginning of court on the night/day of court.  Said meeting may occur virtually or in person.
